These prosthetics are great at addressing tooth loss and its various effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your needs, you could receive a partial or full denture. Per their name, partial models only replace a few teeth; they\u2019re held in place with clasps that fit onto your remaining ones. Meanwhile, full dentures replace all the teeth along an arch and stay secure with suction force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dental Implants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Someone only lacking a tooth or two may want dental implants in their reconstruction. This option is ideal for restoring individual teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In essence, dental implants are small, screw-like posts made of titanium. Dentists place them directly in your jawbone as substitute tooth roots. From there, they gradually fuse with your jaw and become a permanent part of it. Implants are thus secure and won\u2019t fall or slip like dentures or bridges might.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Root Canal Therapy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A dentist may need to treat an infected tooth during your reconstruction. If so, they may suggest including a root canal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also known as root canal therapy, a root canal removes bacteria and pulp from a decaying or infected tooth. After numbing the affected area, the dentist extracts the infected or damaged tooth structure with special tools. They then seal the tooth\u2019s interior to prevent future infection, restoring its surface with a filling as well.
